Media misrepresentation - The damage done beyond UniMed
To the Courier Mail,
I was not surprised to read the article “New age ‘medicine’ of Serge Benhayon leaves trail of broken families” published on the front page of the Courier Mail digital edition on September 8th, as it is one of dozens of nationally and internationally published media articles repeating the same error-riddled stories.
Many accredited professionals, experts and medical specialists from across the globe, such as myself, have submitted dedicated, clear and professionally accredited information about the true acts and accounts of Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine. Such information has been repeatedly submitted to newspapers and published online on blog sites such as ‘Medicine and Serge Benhayon’, ‘Words on Serge Benhayon’, 'Truth about Serge Benhayon’ and ‘Truth about Universal Medicine’, just to name a few.
Common sense would say, if so many opposing stories are told, from professionals in the field, against what a small group of people are saying, then maybe what the small group is saying is not in fact the full truth. Possibly, the stories are swayed by their own experience not directly with Universal Medicine, but from the expose of their own personal lives and family situations. Therefore, is it possible that the truths from the professionals and every day people are being ignored or rejected by the media because it completely opposes the story that the media want to tell?
Despite the media stories personally attacking Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine, these stories are also a personal attack on me, and hundreds of other professional and every day people who participate in Universal Medicine events and Esoteric Healing. I am a 31-year-old woman, I have esoteric breast massages, I use esoteric breast massage cream to moisturise my breasts and connect with and nurture this part of my body, and not to 'ward off bad energy' as your article so erroneously states. I have spent money on attending events and having healing sessions. Further, I work as a fully accredited and well-recognised Exercise Physiologist from both the Goonellabah and Brisbane Universal Medicine clinics. If anyone was to believe what the media is saying, then it would suggest that I am a brain washed female follower of a discredited man who appears to intentionally break up families and take thousands of dollars from women for discredited services. So these articles are a direct attack on me as a woman and a professional, as well as putting down the quality or credentials of the services of my business.
Despite what the media is presenting, I am more than willing to hold true in what my experience with Universal Medicine has been. My own self-healing and development with Universal Medicine has made me a more confident, caring, loving and wiser person and increased the quality and integrity in the services of my business. You only need to ask my family, husband to be, and hundreds of clients about the amazing growth I have had over only 5 or 6 years. Universal Medicine does not direct or tell me what to do or how to live my life. They have shared with me that it is possible to connect with myself as a lovely and gentle woman and from there, make loving choices for myself that support my body and me to remain healthy, confident and complete within myself. Whatever choices I make from here are completely my own, and there is no right or wrong way. Choosing to love myself in such a way gave me the confidence to stop abusive binge drinking and comfort eating.
